BRCA2 haploinsufficiency in telomere maintenance

Sigríður K. Böðvarsdóttir lýsir arfstökum áhrifum arfgengra BRCA2 stökkbreytinga á telomere galla í eitilfrumulínum. Telomere gallar greindir með FISH aðferð reyndust stigmagnast í eitilfrumulínum með arfblendnar og arfhreinar BRCA2 stökkbreytingar samanborið við villigerð. Telomere gallar geta aukið krabbameinsáhættu arfbera.

Aðalhöfundur: Magnea G. Frandsen. Tengsl hás bandvefshlutfalls í brjóstakrabbameinum við brjóstakrabbameinsháða lifun. Hátt bandvefshlutfall í hormónaneikvæðum brjóstakrabbameinum tegnist verri sjúkdómsháðri lifun sjúklinga. Hátt bandvefshlutfall í 3. gráðu brjóstakrabbameinum tengist jafnframt verri sjúkdómsháðri lifun.

Search for novel early-stage biomarkers in plasma samples that can be used as an early diagnostic tool for BC. In this study 100 biobank-based plasma samples, thereof 50 from BC cases and 50 controls, from a well-defined Icelandic BC study cohort were analyzed using targeted UPLC-MRM-MS analysis.
