The biggest in biomedical and health sciences in Iceland.
Líf- og heilbrigðisvísindaráðstefna Háskóla Íslands fer fram á Hilton Nordica 14. og 15. október. Á ráðstefnunni hittist vísindafólk og almenningur og kynnir sér það sem er efst á baugi í líf- og heilbrigðisvísindum á Íslandi hverju sinni. Það er ókeypis á ráðstefnuna og hún er opin öllum. Opnir fyrirlestrar í hádeginu eru sérstaklega hugsaðir fyrir almenning og þá er einnig boðið upp á sérstakt málþing fyrir almenning um krabbamein á þriðjudeginum.

Á dagskrá eru kynningar á öllu því nýjasta í líf- og heilbrigðisvísindum á Íslandi. Fjallað verður um spennandi rannsóknir af mörgum fræðasviðum, til dæmis meðgöngu og fæðingu, andlega heilsu, íþróttir, næringu, lyfjafræði, lífvirkni, heilbrigðisþjónustu, sameindalíffræði, ónæmisfræði, erfðafræði og endurhæfingu.
