Metabolic profiling on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded breast cancer tissue using desorption electrospray ionization mass spectrometry imaging

In this project we show that formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples can be used for high throughput breast cancer screening using mass spectrometry imaging (DESI-MSI), decreasing diagnostic time. Additionally, we show that DESI-MSI has potential to distinguish between different metadata groups.
